
Vijay Khurana is a fiction writer and a translator from German. His debut novel, The Passenger Seat, won the 2026 McKitterick Prize, was runner-up in the 2026 ‘Tournament of Books’, and was shortlisted for both the Christina Stead Prize for Fiction and the Fitzcarraldo Editions/New Directions/Giramondo Novel Prize. His translation of Senthuran Varatharajah’s novel Red (Hunger) won a PEN Translates award and is forthcoming in 2027. He lives in Berlin.
